Our Mission  
To help create a dynamic business environment to meet the needs of all members by encouraging their mutual support and co-operation in all aspects of local commercial and industrial activities.  
 
Constitution  
LEGAL STATUS  
The Chamber shall be an informal Association, affiliated to the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry (a Company Limited by Guarantee and an Accredited Chamber of the British Chambers of Commerce).  
 
OBJECTIVES
  • To encourage businesses and individuals involved in trade, industry, commerce, the professions, education, training and the voluntary sector to join the Chamber.
  • To increase the prosperity of East Hampshire in a sustainable way for the benefit of its members and the district as a whole.  
  • To promote opportunities for business between its members.  
  • To represent the views of Chamber members at local, regional, national and international level.  
  • To be a contact point for the provision of business services from Portsmouth and South East Hampshire Chamber, Business Link, East Hampshire District Council and other appropriate organisations.  
  • To increase the awareness amongst its members of training and improve links with education and training establishments.  
  • To foster international trade.  
  • To promote East Hampshire as the place to do business.
MEMBERSHIP  
Membership shall be open to any individual, partnership or business which is involved or seeks to be involved in business within the East Hampshire District Council area. This can include the district council, educational establishments and any non profit making or charitable organisation.  
 
The Chamber:
  • Encourages intertrading  
  • Provides strong business support for members across the whole district  
  • Is working with the local authority, education and the voluntary sector  
  • Offers sector related focus groups including manufacturing, tourism, leisure, retail, service sector, international trade, environment and electronic commerce.
By joining us you will be helping to bring together the entire business community in East Hampshire, shaping your future and contributing to the prosperity of all.
